August 1939	Braniff Airways placed an order for the company first DC-3
June 1940	Braniff Airways takes delivery of Serial # 2239 registered as N25666

	N25666 was operated by Braniff Airways until April of 1953 between Chicago, Kansas City and Dallas.
April 1953	Sold to Trans Texas Airways -- aircraft was operated for 15 years
1968 - 1969	Operated by Texas International
1969 - 1970	Operated by Tradewinds, Inc. of San Antonio, TX
1970 - 1971	Operated by Air Mid America
1971 - 1977	Operated by Air New England
1977 - 1978	Operated by Cryderman Air Services of Pontiac, MI
1978 - 1978	Operated by Century Airlines also of Pontiac, MI
1979 - 1991	The Aircraft Registration Number changed to N139PB Operated by Provicetown-Boston Airlines who used the aircraft as a seasonal carrier out of Cape Cod, MA during the summer months and then shifting to Naples, FL during the winter months. N139PB also functioned as an Eastern Express airliner in the 80's until the backruptcy of Eastern Airlines. At this point the aircraft remained at the Tamiami, Flordia Airport in moth balls until the owner (Starflight Corporation) offered it for sale in Trade-a-Plane. Ron Alexander, owner of Alexander Aeroplane Company, purchased the aircraft in July of 1991. The airplane was ferried to its new home in Griffin, Georgia.
1991 - 1992	N139PB was completed gutted and refurbised by the employees of Alexander Aeroplane Company during the following year and was then re-registered as N28AA in referece to Alexander Aeroplane.
1992 - 1996	The aircraft was used as a promotional tool for the company; flying to airshows to be placed on display as well as hiring out rides.
1996 - present	Alexander Aeroplane Company was sold to Aircraft Spruce & Specialty however N28AA was retained by Ron Alexander, who began using it for dual instruction. Since Ron also owned Poly-Fiber Fabric Coatings, he painted the companies name on the fuselage.

The airframe of Serial Number 2239 has over 82,000 hours of flight time
It has been used to host wedding while mid-flight
The DC-3 has been a vital part of the Delta training program
It was the first airliner to successfully carry passengers and make a profit
Technology used to design the DC-3 is still in use today on modern airplanes
N28AA has never been used for cargo and still remains in its original 14 seat configuration.

Under development is a museum in Williamson, Georgia that will replicate the original Atlanta Airport (known as Candler Field). N28AA will be on display there when it is not attending an airshow or providing dual instruction to anyone that wishes to experience this historical aircraft that has been flying for over 70 years in its original configuration.
